Although I entertained the idea of moving away a few times, ultimately I have chosen to stay right here at home. I am married to a wonderful lady named Jaime (Price) and we have one son, Cameron. He will be 10 in March 2009. We live over in Pumpkin Center, right behind Cindy (Ballew) Kale. Cameron and Cindy’s boys play together all the time.
I have been building a career in Emergency Medical Services since we graduated. I have been a paramedic for over 20 years and absolutely love working in medicine. I am currently a full-time curriculum faculty member at Gaston College, teaching Emergency Medical Sciences. I still work for Lincoln County EMS (where Gary Gaston got me my first paid EMS job) on a part-time basis.
When not working, I spend time with family. We love to travel and if given any chance at all...you will see us headed to Charleston. We also enjoy Mexico and destinations tropic. Cameron and I hunt together, ride dirt bikes and do all the cool guy stuff. I am lucky enough to be able to coach his youth football team. Although I mostly enjoy coaching defense, somehow they talked me into being a head coach last year for the 9-10 year old division. Talk about pulling your hair out! But it was fun and we did okay. Along with that Head Coach job came being elected President for the North Lake Optimist Club. I replaced Kenny Drum, who I am sure many of you remember, and I am pretty sure this is a diabolical plan of his to drive me nuts. Hey Kenny, its working!
