I have spent many life-times since May 1967. I have been married and divorced several times. I lost my soul-mate companion March 1 2004 of a massive heart attack he suffered in his sleep. On May 7 2004 I received the call that no parent ever wants to have at 11:00 pm. My son, John Edgar, had been murdered in a "parking lot rage" incident because a person did not want to wait 15 seconds. My son was an organ donor and saved 4 people because of his selflessness. He left 4 children (youngest son was born 8 months after his death). While I have done many things I realize now that these two events have changed me into the person I am today. I have not been able to work since 2002 due to severe degenerative arthritis so I have time on my hands. While I do many things at my church, my main focus is making quilts for children in crisis or emergency situations. I try to complete between 150 and 200 simple lap quilts per year. They are given to various groups who work with children in crisis. While the early years after graduation I was too busy just living and raising kids and 'hell'. Now I try to do things that might make a small part of my space on earth a little better for those who follow or just cross this space. Now that was my philosophical side. Actually I just manage to survive another day. Physical limitations keep me from joining the Rockettes and my love life resembles the drought in Texas. I just try to survive as best as I can. My losses have taught me how little things mean so I have few possessions but I seem to get by okay. I left the Derby area a couple of years after graduation and I have no ties left there. My dad died in 1993 and my mom died in 2013. I lost my brother Randy on July 7th, 2008 to cancer. I am not sure why I did not keep in contact with any of my classmates or attend any more reunions. Now is the time that I would like to rekindle some of those friendships I had in high school.
