My wife, Brenda and I built a home in the country near Viola, Ks in 2003. We have about 12 acres and during the summer I mow, mow, mow. I enjoy golfing and try to go as much as I can. I have worked at Boeing for over 26 years and Brenda has been at Cessna for over 37 years. We expect to retire in 2011. My hair has not turned gray, but most of it turned loose. We still attend church in Wichita at Sharon Baptist. I teach HS Boys Sunday School and sing in the choir. Brenda works with pre-school kids. We have a beautiful daughter, named Regan. She graduated from Wichita East in 1999. She met her husband while attending Oklahoma Baptist University.
They got married in 2008 and live in Oklahoma City. In January 2007 I started running for fitness. I had never run in my life before and when I first stared I could barely run a block. But, I kept at it, lost 30 lbs. and I run in 5ks and 10ks every chance I get. I ran my first ever Marathon on my 59th birthday. I have run 3 half-marathons and 3 full marathons and right now I am training to run a half-marathon in Olathe, Ks on April 10th and the OKC Memorial Marathon on April 25, 2010.
I ran the Olathe half-Marathon and OKC Memorial Marathon in April. My goal was to run the Marathon in under 5 hours and I finished in 4:50:42!
I'm a grandpa now. Regan had a little girl, Reese, in June, 2011.
I retired in January 2012.
I ran 2 half-marathons since last update. The latest was Oklahoma City in April, 2012.
New update. July, 2016. Brenda has retired. Regan has a little boy, Parker, in January, 2014.
I enjoyed art classes with Mrs C. and working on all those mosaics that decorated the halls. I also, enjoyed singing in Philharmonic Choir all three years. I remember always making wise cracks in classes and getting in trouble because of it all the time. Mrs. McNabb in my Junior year made me sit in a desk right beside hers.
I never really applied myself in school. I wish I had. If I could do it again, I know I'd make better grades. Once I did a really good book report and Mrs. Delamarter was skeptical that it was really my work. She wrote on my paper in red ink "What happened? This is really good. Is this really yours? See me after class."
