Dear Fellow COMS 1975-ers,
Welcome!
The advantage to participating in this reunion website is that it allows those who cannot attend, to join in a virtual reunion, so to speak. There are classmates who really can't make it, and others who have stated that given a choice between Des Moines in August and Hell, the latter would win. I sympathize, but know that Iowa has modernized, and they now offer air conditioned comfort in nearly every public facility. At least that's what I've heard. Please do consider coming if you can.
While nothing on the Internet is totally secure, this website does allow for a more restricted audience than something such as Facebook which would allow an untold number of friends--especially patients, relatives or "others" the opportunity to contact us. I'm not interested in that, and I suspect some of the rest of you feel the same way.
If you have any problems with this website, please remember that this is not my day job (nor my wife's---she actually put this together for us). Shoot me an email and tell me what you're having trouble navigating, and we'll see what we (she) can do to fix it.
All of that said, please check out the photos, Reunion Details page, and most of all, please fill out a profile so the rest of us can know how you have fared over the past 35 years. If you know someone who is dragging her/his feet about coming aboard, nudge them a bit. If you know of some great memory or other nice thing to say about those who have gone before (check In Memory), please leave a word or two.
We went through some mighty tough and otherwise wonderful times together--we should celebrate that. If we've learned nothing else in this business, we should have all come to realize just how fragile life really is. It's time to get together and either thank each other or make amends.
Taking one for the team as 1975 Reunion Chair, I remain Osteopathically yours,
Larry Waite
