Pat: A very Happy birthday to you, and many thanks for all the work you do to keep our class up-to-date.

One of these days  maybe I'll get inspired enough to complete an update before it appears as an obit.

Hope you had a great day.

I'd like to second Darrell's comments; we all very much appreciate what you do. I have friends who graduated from other schools and in other years who have nothing like this to keep classmates up to date.

On another subject...I have come across originals of the articles and a photo that appeared in the Des Moines Register & Tribune (remember when it was called that and they published two papers a day??) reporting on the top 15% or our class and the remarks made by Bishop Daly at our graduation.  Pat, if you would like to have them, I will be in the Lawrence area sometime in the next couple of months and can drop them off, or if you don't want them and someone else does, I can mail them to you.

On a personal note, I have now become a drug addict as a result of my heart attack (I'm sure there are others who can relate to that).   Doing OK  now but doing less traveling  in my RV.

I would add to what both Darrell and Doug had to say. I just am never to happy to see the obits which come too often.  Mine was almost one of them a couple of years ago when I also had a heart attack.  Like you, Doug, I am also a drug addict. But, life has been extraordinarily good to me.

Must tell you that I spent last week with classmate and old college rommate Pat Duffy at Disney World.  He is one amaxing man and we had the time of our lives.

Thank you guys for the nice comments.  Never thought that I would ever turn 75.  My wife suprised me by taking me to a K.C. Royals game to celebrate with 28,000 of my closest friends.  Actually, lI knew only about 20, but it was a great time.

Doug, if you come to Lawrence, call me at 785-218-9662, or if you wish to email me those old pic, send them to vefriel@yahoo.com.

Chuck, I saw the pics of you and Duffy at Disney--not bad for two old dudes.

Again thanks

Pat

Happy late birthday, Pat! I also agree with what those 3 old dudes said.  Wow, Darrell, Doug and Chuck! All St. John's classmates of mine and I bet none of them remember me at all despite the fact that Chuck and I are Facebook friends. ;-0

Anyway, thanks for all you do Pat! Stay healthy!

I do remember you Linda, but you were a quiet girl. Had we been able to look into your mind I'm sure we would have seen some pretty intense analytical processes at work. I bet you had each and every one of us all figured out. You might have been able to save us all, especially Duffy who is still in great need of it smiley

Happy Birthday Pat! It is scary that we are all getting old but in numbers only. We are all still young at heart.

So guess what, Linda.  Rummaging thru some 'old' stuff from 60 years ago I found the Class Day Program from May 24, 1955 along with the Dance Program.  And guess who was my #1 dance partner for the event: YOU!  I had put together a scrap book which  included the Class Book in it's entirety with a  class history, class will, class prophecy etc. along with a few pictures.  It makes interesting reading!!!  How things have changed!

Not sure my message went through so I will try again.

To update our Memories   Marg (Stumpf) Davis passed away in 2021.  I don't have any details,

Her husband Don Davis is on FB and I saw it there. Don does live in DM.

Flora, I found a brief obituary for Marjorie on the Sunset Memorial Chapel webiste.  Apparentally she died on Nov. 30.  The information was very sparse.
