Frank Scarcello

Frank James Scarcello, 64, died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at his home in Brownsville, Texas.

 

Frank was born on May 4, 1941 to Frank and Rose Scarcello of Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Dowling High School in 1959 and joined the United States Air Force after graduation, where he served eight years before being honorably discharged. Frank worked in the packaging industry as a National Account Manager. He lived in Des Moines most of his life before retiring to South Texas. He loved fishing, reading, and morning coffee with the guys. Frank was a loving husband, generous father and stepfather, a wonderful grandfather, and a faithful friend who was loved by all who knew him.

 

He is survived by his wife, Karen Ballard of Brownsville, TX; his daughter, Mary (Kelly) Scarcello of Des Moines, IA; his son, Frank (Rochelle) Scarcello of Ankeny, IA; his stepdaughter, Ashley Ballard; four grandchildren, Kaye Scarcello, Alex Scarcello, Maryssa Scarcello, and Daniel Pradovich; his sister, Anna Adams of Des Moines, IA.

 

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 2 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd. Services will be at 7 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2005 at First Presbyterian Church. An additional memorial service will be held in Des Moines.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any local hospice.
