TERRENCE "TERRY" OWEN HAYES

Terry Hayes, 63, formerly of the Melcher- Dallas and Chariton areas, died October 18, 2003 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 23 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. A private burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Hayes was born in Knoxville, went to school in Chariton and graduated from Dowling High School in 1959. He was a commercial painter and enjoyed drawing and singing. Terry is survived by two daughters, Brandy Matthews and Rita Wright, both of Chariton three grandchildren and two sisters, Joan Klobnak of Hamilton and Nancy Clark of Melcher-Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Clara Hayes a sister, Rita Ann and a brother, Delbert.
