ANNE KERRIGAN SCOTHORN

 

Des Moines

 

Anne Kerrigan Scothorn, 63, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 from complications of lung cancer at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 17 at St. Augustin Catholic Church. Private burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery.

 

Anne lived most of her life in Des Moines and graduated from Drake University. She had been a teacher and religious education coordinator for St. Pius X and a realtor for Iowa Realty and Coldwell Realty. Currently, she was employed with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

 

Anne was a member of St. Augustin Catholic Church and Kappa Alpha Theta. She received, professed and took vows as a lay Carmelite and was a Formation Director for the Carmelite Order in Des Moines. Anne was devoted to her family.

 

She is survived by her mother, Mary Jane Kerrigan; children, David S. Scothorn, Kelly A. Morris and Scott W. Scothorn; sister, Judith Kerrigan Auge, all of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Maxwell, Joseph, Teddy Anne and Sydney Ann; and nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, John H. Kerrigan; sister, Molly Six; and brother-in-law, Wayne Auge.

 

Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Dunn's Funeral Home, where a Vigil service and Rosary will be held at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the Carmelite Order of Des Moines, c/o The Society of the Little Flower, 1313 Frontage Road, Darien, IL 60561.
