Leonard Joseph "Joe" Schrodt, Jr. married Karen Knosby and they had twin daughters. Joe passed away in August 1973 at the age of 27, from a water skiing accident.

The following information is from Joe's cousin, Jim Neylon (DHS '63):

Joe spent 4 years in the Navy as a welder and I think an iron worker -- (not sure how the navy divides those MOS's up).  He was aboard the USS Jamestown and served off the coast of Viet Nam around the Gulf of Tonkin area the same time I was there.  He must have served from mid-65 to mid-69 because he got out before I got home from the rice paddies in Oct of 69.
