Joe enjoyed fishing trips with family members and friends. He especially loved to brag about catching the biggest fish. He loved spending his free time helping his children do odds and ends around the house, gardening, and helping out around the church. Joe was well known as the ""Pasta King"" to all of his nieces and nephews for making huge pots of pasta for graduation parties and wedding receptions.

Joe was a member of The Knights of Columbus and The American Legion- Cummings Chapter.
