Nancy Louise Getz, age 75, of Holland, Michigan passed away on Sunday, September 26th, 2021. Nancy was born on October 16th, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa to George Schaffer and Dorothy Schaffer Smith.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Simply Cremations in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She started her battle in 2017 and a long hard journey it was, one we thought she had finally won. I have never seen so much courage! Mother, grandmother, cherished friend. She had an infectious love for nature and animals. Would never turn down a walk in the woods. She always embraced and addressed new animals at our Bliss Donkey Sanctuary as her grand babies. Loved her kids, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 2 grandsons like Gold. She has taught me infinite things.. Thanks to all family and friends for all of their love and support! My brother and I could not have weathered this storm without you."
