Becky Ann Gilbreath Kaser

Blessed by legions of dedicated family, friends and medical experts, Becky Gilbreath Kaser, age 62, first glimpsed Paradise on September 3rd, 2007 after battling Pancreatic Cancer with humor, courage and grace. Becky will be missed terribly by so many!

Her son, Brian, lives in Chicago. Her Des Moines area children are:  Kristin Kaser, Michael Kaser and Suzie and her husband, Nate Allen. Her grandchildren are: Gaige Kaser and Riley Isenberg. Becky’s mom is Ada Alice Gilbreath of St. Louis; her Papa, Tom Gilbreath, died 6 years ago. Becky’s sister Julie and her husband Ken Boegeman live in St. Louis. Her brother Tom lives in Wassau, Wisconsin with his wife, Chris.

Becky’s primary job was being a great mom. She recently found enjoyment and success as a Loan Processor at Wells Fargo.

Becky was born September 1, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Des Moines in 1960. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1963 and attended Drake and ISU. Becky’s sense of humor never diminished. She developed an “Attitude of Gratitude” -learning to recognize silver linings and was most grateful for the love and generosity of her family and many friends.

Visitation will be hosted at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway from 4-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m on Wednesday, September 5th, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Glendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Animal Rescue League.
