Mary Elizabeth Caulfield, age 59, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2004 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004 at Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines with burial at Glendale Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth was born in Des Moines and had lived there all of her life. She was a self employed accountant. Mary Elizabeth was a member of Visitation Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Accountant Association of Iowa.

Mary Elizabeth is survived by her nephew, John F. (Christine) Caulfield Jacobsen and their three children, Elizabeth Audra, Alexander James and Zachary Lee, all of Omaha, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Frank Caulfield and her brother, John Caulfield.

Visitation begins after 4 p.m. Friday and the family will receive friends from 5 until a 7 p.m. Rosary at Visitation Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Visitation Catholic Church Endowment Fund.
