Christine Ann Dennison, age 70, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, went to meet her heavenly Father on April 22, 2016.  She was born October 5, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa to John Wesley and Bette Thorpe. 

Chris attended St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines, Iowa, and Creighton University School of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was a devoted and caring nurse for 50 years until her retirement from the Oklahoma State Department of Health in October 2015. 

She was an active member of Saint Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee and was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all. 

Chris was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy DeAngelo.  She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey Marchino, his wife Cathy and grandchildren Reed, Trey and Paige, all of McKinney,Texas; son Chad Marchino, his wife Stacey and granddaughter Avery of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister, Sue Clark and husband Mike of Des Moines, Iowa; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM on May 3, 2016 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee, OK.  Inurnment will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa.
