William Dennis Thomsen

August 11, 1945 - November 2, 2007

William Dennis "Denny" Thomsen, 62, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on Friday, November 2, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Denny was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Des Moines, IA, where he attended St. Augustin Elementary School and Dowling High School.  He earned a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity.  After serving in the Army, he worked at Delevan Manufacturing, then Aetna Life and Casualty when he was transferred to Tulsa. He has worked for Badger Meter in Tulsa for 32 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Verniece Thomsen.  Survived by: the love of his life, Bobbie Thomsen; and stepson, Gary Keller; sister, Sue Thomsen of Carlsbad, CA; brother, Tom (Suki) Thomsen of Stillwater, MN; 2 nieces and a nephew.

Denny was a wonderful, caring brother, loving husband and stepfather and had a jovial, likeable nature which gained him many good friends in both Tulsa and Des Moines. We will miss him very much. The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to everyone at Hospice of Green Country, Inc., for the tender care given to Denny and respect of his wishes during his illness.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at St. Plus X Catholic Church, 7512 E. 19th, Tulsa, with visitation starting an hour prior to the service. Interment following at Floral Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Green Country, 2121 S. Columbia, Suite 200, Tulsa, OK, 74114. Moore Funeral Home, 622-1155
