I have been self-employed as an American Sign Language Interpreter working in various types of environments/situations such as: schoolsplace of employment, medical appointments/surgeries/ER, legal (courts/police arrests/etc), government, weddings/funerals, etc... I recently lost my mom (she was Deaf) to cancer and now own/live in my childhood home.

School Story:

As an interpreter I am often called to substitute for educational interpreters so I see old teachers that are still there. They often wonder how I can make it to their classes now and couldn't back then...I told them I get PAID now! They are happy to see that I have grown up and don't jip work like I did school.
