Larry, I want to step in early and wish you a very happy birthday. Most of my memories of you are from 2nd grade, when all the girls were interested in you. And you, surprisingly, were interested in me! Thanks for that confidence boost. You were fun to talk to, and fun to know. I wish you the very best for the years ahead.
l'm glad you finally caught up (11 days) to your elders and are now 76. I was just looking at your photo and realizing how pretty you are.

I know I'm late to say "happy birthday," but I wanted to thank you for being a HUGE part of my life from grades 1-7. I remember ice skating at Witmer Park, trying to play tennis there, and mostly walking home daily with Chris Killough. You always excelled at selling Girl Scout nuts. (Yes, there were nuts before there were cookies.) I always thought it was because you had fraternity boys next door, but really, it was because you were a go-getter. I sat at home, while you canvased the neighborhood. I can't believe how beautiful you are -- the same red hair. It is such a pleasure thinking about the old days at St. John's. Hope your birthday was terrific.

To Dan's family: I am so sorry for your loss! What a tragedy to die of Covid, especially now. I remember Dan (we called him Danny) from grade school at St Johns. It's wonderful to read about him and know what a great career he had and that he raised four wonderful kids. Blessings and prayers to you all.

Margey, who knew that when we met at age 5 we would know each other all these years? I'm so thankful for all the friendship, especially in our St John's days. Have a delightful birthday. I gues you've finally joined the 73 club.
Wow! Just saw the tribute from Loretto Academy. So happy for your new life in retirement. Can't imagine what new things you will do -- with all that time.
Thinking of you today and the friendship we had in grade school. Glad you finally caught up to 73! It's quite a number. Post about your current life, please.
I attended grade school with Larry Dorsey. He was extremely quiet and shy, but he always seemed to know the answer to questions. I remember him as a great artist. On Presidents Day, our teacher was talking about Abraham Lincoln. Larry was doodling the whole time and created a wonderful pencil sketch of Lincoln. I remember being absolutely amazed at the likeness. He got into trouble for not paying attention and was sent to the cloak room for a while. My heart really hurt for him that day. Did he take his art talent and use it in his adult life? He was a sweet and gentle soul.
Jill, Hope you have a great birthday. I've enjoyed being 70 this year.
