Jeff and I went on the United Nations tour together in our junior years. We visited the UN in New York but also the Capitol and Congress in D.C. It was a very special week creating lots of new friends from other schools and great memories.  Sad to lose Jeff.

Jeff was in a number of classes with me at Dowling.  A good guy and classmate.  Lost touch other than a couple brief encounters during college.  RIP Jeff.

I got to know Jeff more from caddying with him at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club than when we were students at Dowling. He was the oldest of a good sized family, his dad was a local TV personage news commentator. I was taken by Jeff for how he treated his younger brothers and sisters. When we were assigned a "looper caddy gig," and then got paid, he'd buy treats for his your brothers and sisters. We'd walk home together and his brothers and sisters got all excited when he'd tell them he got out and he'd give them the treats. He was a very giving fellow. I was not as close to him at Dowling but all my memories of him there were pleasant. The world needs more folks like Jeff. To his family and to his spirit, God's speed and love.

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. We were not close friends in High School even though we were in the same class. We became close much later while I was working at Methodist Hospital. He was a fine man and even a better friend during those years. RIP Jeff

I came to Dowling as a sophmore, Jeff was one of the guys I hung out with. He had a great sense of humor and was very smart.  Jeff and I roomed together our freshman year at Iowa.  We spent more time drinking beer than studying, but it was fun.  Rest in peace Jeff.  Joe Kelly

I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. We weren't close friends but I remember him as smiling and cheerful. We were together on the same trip that Mike Israel mentioned and we had more friendly interactions there. My condolences to his family and close friends. I've lost quite a few close friends and family in recent years. I guess we are at that age where these events become more common. It doesn't make them any easier.
