Lloyd and I lived in the same community, knew each other since the 8th grade, loved the same girl. He had a quick wit and a ready smile. He was a bit mischievous. He and his brother loved chemistry, made many trips to Scientific Supply in Seattle, and liked making bombs
( They enjoyed fishing using thier bombs). Bruce Robertson gave me a nickname in Jr. Hi. and Lloyd continued to call me by it even as adults. He was a good athlete and started lifting weights in high school and bulked up about 50 lbs and grew 4 inches in his Junior year. He converted the basement into his lifting studio and taught some of us the techniques in lifting weights .Lloyd lifted competitively as a heavey weight at the university. He married, had 2 sons, and passed away much too soon at 41 years old. We"ll see you again in heaven old friend.

Thanks for your comment, Craig. Now I feel a whole lot better about Loyd's beating my school record in the bent arm pullover event--about a half hour after I set it. But it was hard to be upset about Lloyd--he was such a nice guy.
BTW, Craig, what was the nickname?
