I was thinking of Tracy Field today, off of Schaefer and 7 mile. alot of softball; Stan Gorman had the most power of anyone, would hit them almost into the trees in Left field. A soft spoken, easy going young man in those days and that's still how I remember him at Mumford. We never saw each other after high school. Hope and trust that he had a wonderful family. Alan Silver and you guys from North of 7 mile, chime in.
STANLEY and I were neighbors. He lived on Snowden diagnoly in back of me and in back of Alan Silver. We lived on HARTWELL.WE were friends thru Vernor Elementary and of course MUMFORD.Joey STEWART was right on .Stan was a heck of an athelete, the best in our group. The memories of great ballgames, both baseball and football will always be with me.I saw Stan in CALIFONIA shortly after my move there, visiting at the apartment he shared with his wife Sharon and children.Lost touch after that.
Thanks. Who were some of the other guys who lived near you, North of 7 mile. "My guys" lived south of 7 and we'd meet at the Field. Some of the guys near me were Mel Boyer, Harvey Simon, Donnie Smith, Denny Gorman, David Saperstien. I remember there were some really nice guys; some of the ones I'm thinking of, who'se names I can't remember, were maybe a year younger than us. Alan Davis? All the best,
Joseph Stewart
