Jimmy Linden

I've been living in sunny Southern California since 1968, where I was a Professor of Psychology at Cal State Long Beach until 2003. I have also had a private practice in Long Beach which I have cut down to half time for the last couple of years. I got married in 1977 to Nancy Littky from Detroit (we were fixed up by her cousin/my friend, Judy Harris Rubin!) and we have two grown sons: Seth, 41 and Ari, 37. They are both terrific young men. Seth got married nine years ago to Sara and they have two sons, Ezra, 7 and Pax, 4. Ari and his wife Lara have a daughter, Rosalie who is now 2. Ari has been a professor of German Studies at Kansas University for the last six years. Seth is a consultant for non-profit Boards. He and Sara moved down to Long Beach in 2019 with their two little ones.

I still work at my practice half time, and Nancy retired from her career as a Special Ed Co-ordinator in a local school district. In addition to enjoying our new home we built recently in a lovely neighborhood in Long Beach, I became slightly addicted to golf about 20 years ago and still manage to while away one or two days a week with similarly inclined friends. I also am enjoying taking classes on Shakespeare at our local senior university.
