School Story:

Most memorable was the freedom of being in high school. Everyday was a adventure of fun and learning. I remember the football team standing at the end of the hall each morning. I also remember being in the dance recitals with Mrs. Suggs. Very cool time.

Hobbies:

I love to travel. Have been to 47 states and 10 countries. My job allows me to travel a great deal and meet people around the world.

I also make silk flowers for weddings and special events.

High points of your life? Famous or interesting people you've met?

My high points are my children coming home each time from the first time. Two are adopted so very special to me. Also standing at Yellowstone National Park and witnessing the marvel of nature. Now it is merely enjoying each day for what God provides.

What organizations do you belong to?

I belong to the International Coaching Federation, Society of Human Resources, past board member of the Urban League and the Center for Non Violence.

Where are some of the places you've traveled? What was the furthest you've travel? or Where would you like to travel?

The furthest I have traveled is Stockholm Sweden. I would still like to visit Italy and more of the Caribbean. And Liberia. I was recently invited to Liberia to work with women in govenment developing their leadership skills, but it was cancelled at the last moment. My goal is to work with women internationally to develop business successful skills.

Do you still talk to/hangout with anyone from High School? Who?

I still talk to Willie Brownlee. I have moved so frequently across the country that I have lost touch. Facebook is helping me restore those valuable connections.

Any words of wisdom?

Appreciate the little things each day. When things are tough, hug yourself first then others you love. Know your strengths and focus on them. Be focused, agile and resilient...and faithful and all will be well.
