After High School, I went off to UT Arlington and ran Cross-Country & Track. Tony and I dated my senior year in high school and my freshman year in college, we broke up for almost 3 years and then got back together in 1992. I decided not to return to UTA and moved back home. (Best decision in my life!)
Tony & I were married in Feb. 1993 and it has been a whirlwind ever since. We had our wonderful son Ethan in 1997 and our beautiful daughter Erika in 2003. They both have their dad's sense of humor and all 3 of them keep me on my toes. Tony & I love to spend time with the kids. We love to hike, fish, fossil hunt and go bowling. Our favorite trips with the kids have been...South Padre Island, Disneyworld and New York (the kids were ready to move to NY after that trip!).
In 1998 (a day before my birthday & 2 days before our 10 year reunion) I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. After surgery and a couple of treatments, I am currently cancer free. :) The cancer has really taught me to appreciate life so much more. You really can't take anything for granted because in one moment everything can change. So take care of yourselves, those around you and live life to the fullest! I have already decided when I turn 60 I am going sky diving! Now that is an adventure I am looking forward to.
