Married my H.S. sweetheart (Jeri) in 1981-Jeri and I went to Hawaii for our 25th anniversary in 2006. Graduated from WTSU (not A&M) in 1984 with accounting degree. Worked 13 years at J.C. Hamilton as controller and now work at Excel Machinery in Amarillo (14 years) as controller/IT. Jeri has worked at the City of Amarillo for 25 years. Spent many years coaching boys in baseball and now umpire young kids (11-12). Both boys played sports at WTAMU, Jeremy in football (when the team was terrible), Josh in baseball.
I also love to play golf (especially with my boys). My first time to play golf was our 10 year reunion and I've been hooked ever since (Tiger Woods, I am not). Jeri and I are Sunday School directors at Paramount Baptist Church. Jeremy was married in 2007 and I'm hoping for a grandchild in the near future. God has been very good to us.
2/24/10-I now have that grandson, Kason Lee, and I now know what heaven is going to be like.
School Story:
The only thing that comes to mind is band marching contest our Junior year. Steve Maples and I are leading the whole 3rd rank in a drill. Steve had not gotten a brick all year, but at contest he turned 5 yards too soon. Some people turned with him and they all had to catch back up. All I remember was Maples wasn't playing his trombone because he was cussing like a sailor. I wasn't playing much either because I was laughing so hard. I have a video of all the marching contest that we were at and I always look for Maples goof when I watch it. I know, sounds corny, but it was hilarious at the time.
From left to right: My youngest son, Josh (20); my daughter in law, Whitney; my oldest son, Jeremy (24); and me. This was last years playoff game vs. Giants. We didn't leave as happy!
