Jerry Mac lived about a block from where I grew up. I remember him walking past our house on Avenue B on his way downtown. He was a standard at all SMOP and SMPC athletic events. I also remember shooting pool with him at the Blue Lounge. He was a great shot. He did not drive a car so we often gave him a ride to where he was going. He was always friendly and cheeful.and a help to many.
