Mike Nordstrom was my neighbor. I remember when he moved in....We were still in Jr. High...I was still at Dirksen and he went to Lincoln????. It must have been 8th grade because I remember when we went against his team in basketball. I remember thinking.....should I cheer for him since he just moved in...or not. I think I didn't cheer for him.

Mike got into, caused a lot of and loved trouble. But Mike had a big heart and he did love life. He was a great friend and a great neighbor.

Mike was my best male friend. We use to be inseparable at one time. I loved him like a brother and my biggest regret is not keeping in contact with him after we both got married. I have nothing but great memories of him and I think about him often. I was very close to his family and I miss them as well. He's with my brother in a better place, having more fun than we probably could imagine.

Love and miss you Mike, Kari

I remember having the biggest crush on Mike in Junior High (Lincoln). I saw him at our 20th reunion for the class of Lincoln Jr. High in 1999. I was sad to hear the news of his death.
