Jean, or "Jeanie" as her friends called her, was a GREAT friend. I had the priviledge of knowing her just about all of my life. We started kindergarten in the city together, both uf us ended up moving to Dolton and here she was living on the next block!! E
We had sort of a rat pack of neighborhood friends(all good clean fun, I assure you) After high school we went our separate ways but always stayed in touch. Even after she moved to Georgia with her chldren, we stayed in touch, visiting at least twice and seeing her when she could get back up to Illinois. I received her Christmas card 2 days after Christmas in 2022 and she sounded like the same old Jeanie. But oddly, she had passed away on Christmas Day. Her daughter Cheryl wrote me, and since that time now we keep in touch and have met once. She resembles Jean and has her humor. She lives in Terre Haute. Jean's son, Paul still lives in Georgia.
