Age 70, recently of Mount Lebanon, formerly of Dormont, on Saturday evening, January 24, 2015. Cherished brother Elizabeth ‘Liz’ (Dave) Molter; Constance O’Donnell, June (James) Serafini, and the late Harry Hartman; father April Lempe; also survived by nieces and nephews. George was a proud Army Veteran, a longtime member of the Dormont V.F.W. and the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Tuesday 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. If desired, memorials may be made to the Dormont Volunteer Fire Department or the Dormont V.F.W. Post 694.

Thanks Kathy for posting the sad news about George. He was a good friend, always kind and thoughtful. In recent years we spoke more often, usually about fun times we shared as kids. One of those memories was of
George, Keith and me taking a impromptu boat trip to Canada. We were 17 and it turned out to be quite an adventure. George and I would laugh about it often, especially since things are so different today, back then we never checked in with the authorities. I did not attend DHS until my junior year but I will say upon meeting George we became instant friends. "The Fly" was a real character and a most kind individual. The rec dances, Dormont pool, Nicks pool hall and some general "craziness" memories will last for ever. RIP brother Geroge!

George and I were friends since 1st grade. Even though we went our separate ways after high school, George always managed to keep in touch. I have many fond memories of all the fun times we had. Rest in peace, dear friend.

can't believe lost 2 of my best friends so quickly (ted and fly) after having such a great time at the reunion,
fly, hudreds of stories but because of age and memory will only related a few.
58 impala two tone brown (ugly) called it the toilet bowl.
worked at isley ( ice cream, kinda like starbucks today) and wore a great hat (ha-ha).
shared pall mall in the alley and at nick;s pool hall.
date sisters who put up with our inmaturity. other sisters thought we were cool, mom loved us.
sent us out for xmas tree. came back with 3 footer and few needles. thought funny. some tears.
had nice tre in car. we were heroes.
didn't stay in contact too much after high school. what a shame,
