What has been the biggest event that has impacted America or the world since the year we graduated?

9/11?
Proliferation of technology into virtual every aspect of our lives?
Global warming?

My opinion is that 9-11 was one of the biggest. I knew people who worked in those buildings.....

My brother-in-law lived within a few blocks. His building was unharmed but he ended up moving to Upper Manhattan to 218th Street.
