Chuck and I were married 2 weeks after graduation. I went to work for American National Bank the next year and I am still with the bank. We had our first child Ashley Lynne in 1981. She received her degree in registered nursing 2 years ago and she works on the CC floor at Martinsville Hospital, She married Gary Willis whom she met through Tunstall Fire Dept and they have blessed us with our first grandchild, Kaleb Lee Willis born Aug 20,2007. We had a son Jacob Carl Bliss in 1994 and he is in the 8th grade at Tunstall Middle School. He is very quiet in school but a cut up at home.
About 3 years ago I joined Tunstall Fire & Rescue as a volunteer. My daughter became an EMT at the age of 16 and it rubbed off on me. I became an EMT and I love every minute of it but my real passion is driving the fire trucks. I am on call 24/7 except when I am at work and the reward of knowing you have saved someone's life or their home is beyond words. If I had known years ago how much I love fire trucks I wouldn't be a banker today.
