Bobby Evans

Since graduating from Averett, I have been invoved in the justice field for most of my career. Twelve years as a United States Probation Officer in Danville, and the last six years as a Senior Education Specialist with the United States Sentencing Commission in Washington, DC (if I tell you, I'll have to kill you). All but three years have been spent in Danville/ Pittsylvania County area. We moved to the Northern Virginia area for 3 years and absolutely hated it. There is something to be said for small town living. I hope to retire in two and a half years and then I'll be back in Danville myself permanently.
My wife Anne, whom most of you met at the 20 year reunion, just celebrated our 20 year anniversary. She is a Speech/ Language Pathologist with the city schools.
Bobby III is now a Staff Seargent with the United States Air Force and has recently been selected to become a Recruiter. He is very excited.
Ryan is a Senior at Tunstall High/ Governor's School and plans to pursue Engineering. Sarah is in 5th grade at Twin Springs and is a real sweetheart (it is true what they say about little girls having their daddy's wrapped around their little fingers).
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Can't really come up with any great high school stories. I can hardly remember what I did yesterday, much less 30 years ago. But I do recall how much fun it was running for president of the senior class with Richard T. Adams. I seem to remember our slogan being "Vote for Richard T. and Bobby Lee". It must have worked because we won. I recently saw "Rick" and we once again relived some fun times from high school.
Isn't hard to believe that Mrs. Hairston is still at Tunstall? From what Ryan tells me, she hasn't changed much, except to get older.
