My good friend from Claremont through high school. She was born 2 weeks before me. My parents had the name Deborah picked out and when Debbie was born, they changed it, since she lived across the street from me. She had so much life in front of her. It just seems like yesterday that I heard that she had been killed in a car accident. But in reality, it has been 29 years on August 1. I still miss her!

Debbie was a great friend and I was blown away when I heard of her accident. I remember when I first met Debbie in the sixth grade. We all had some good times back at Claremont and Central.

Debbie, so bubbley and full of spirit. You had a passion for the "Spirit Stick" and would start winding up on Monday mornings and motivating the girls to get ready for a pep rally on Friday. If we lost the spirit stick, you were ticked and started planning for the next one. Do you know how that made me laugh? It was just a stick. When I remember you, that passion comes to mind. My heart was broken when I got the news and I can feel the sadness even today. Til we meet again...
