 OBIT RIDPATH, KENNETH RONALD JR.
RIDPATH, Kenneth Ronald Jr., 32, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 1993, in Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church and a library assistant at VPI. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kenneth R. and Ann C. Ridpath Sr. of Radford; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ivaleen Ridpath of Radford; maternal grandmother, Flora Kubinski of Tampa, Fla; maternal grandfather, Dave Arnold of Radford; a stepbrother, Michael Lee Mitchell of Floyd.

Whenever I think of Ronnie I remember being in typing class with him. Crystal Crisp, Cindy Midkiff, Ronnie and I sat near one another and we raced each time we had one of those timed typing tests. Ronnie usually won and the four of us just had a great time. I think that was our freshman year and it was fourth period if I remember correctly. I also remember being at the Radford/PCHS football game one Friday night and the announcer paged Ronnie. That’s how he learned that his mother had passed away. The last time I saw Ronnie was at Christmas the year before he died. I ran into him at the mall in Roanoke.
