Doris lived by my grandma's house on Diamond Street. I also knew her family because I helped deliver groceries there from my dad's store. Her mom and dad's names were Mary and Al and they were good hard-working people. I remember Doris as a very sweet girl and also an exceptionally bright student. I was not surprised to hear of her success in the publishing world. I was so sorry to hear of her passing...far too young. She was a lovely person.
Doris was really nice gal. We were friends for many years, grade school and high school, and then lost touch as she went to college and I went to Flexsteel. Doris never had abad thing to say about anyone and always saw a silver lining in any situation. Again we loose touch with friends only in hopes to rekindle again later. You were thought of and remembered by many. Rest in Peace Doris.
