
Sharon Lee Schnoebelen, 61, of Dubuque, passed away at 12:52 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan 4, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., where friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday.
She was born on Nov. 7, 1948, in Dubuque, daughter of Steve and Imogene (Lieb) Dura. She graduated from Wahlert High School in 1966.
She married William Schnoebelen on May 31, 1973, in Dubuque.
Sharon was an ordained minister in the Nazarene Israelite faith. She was a herbalist who received her degree in naturopathic medicine from Trinity University in 2000.
She enjoyed playing the violin, gardening and being in the outdoors. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. Sharon was a devoted wife who loved the Lord with all her heart and led many souls to him.
Surviving are her husband, William J. Schnoebelen, of Dubuque; two sisters, Carol (James) Schwendinger, of Little Falls, Minn., and Mary M. Starr, of Dubuque; a brother, Dan J. Dura, of Dubuque; a niece, Anya Dawn Starr, of Dubuque; and many more nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Steven T. Dura; and a nephew, Austin J. Dura.
A Sharon L. Schnoebelen memorial fund has been established.
