Marilynn Ann Jurisic, 62, of 2421 Division St., died at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at home.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Placid Cemetery, Epworth,Iowa.
She was born on June 16, 1948, in Dubuque, daughter of Robert and Norma (Reicher) Von Ah. She attended Dubuque Senior High School.
She owned and operated Luigi's Restaurant for many years, and later worked for Courtesy Cleaners.
Marilynn loved country music, attending concerts and was a die-hard Elvis fan.
Surviving are her friend and companion, Don Callahan; two daughters, Gina (Rich) Miller and Kari (Ron) Bisping; five grandchildren, Melissa, Ryne and Jenna Miller, Amber and Brandon Bisping; four great-grandchildren, Terissa and Donovan Miller, Carson and Ava Jenaman, all of Dubuque; six sisters, Sheila (Dennis) Staten, of Dubuque, Rhonda (Jim Avery) Dunbar, of East Dubuque, Ill., Tari (Fred) Beeler and Sharyn (Mike) Pickel, both of Dubuque, Coleen Givens, of Davenport, Iowa, and Lori Biggs, of St. Joseph, Mo.; three brothers, Gary (Laura) Von Ah, Rick (Julia) Von Ah and Dave (Laurie) Von Ah, all of Dubuque; many nieces and nephews; and her very good life-long friend, Rose Girot.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Joseph Jurisic Jr.; and three brothers-in-law, Jack Dunbar, Larry Biggs and Dennis Givens.
