Bill Huesgen

William (Bill) H. Huesgen of Tacoma, WA. Formerly of Dubuque, Iowa - Passed away February 21, 2013 at Tacoma General Hospital, Tacoma, WA, from pancreatic cancer.

A private family service was held at the Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Reiff Funeral Home in Farley, Iowa was in charge of local arrangements.

William was born May 20,1948, in Mason City, IA son of Dr. Herman and Corrine (Lovely) Huesgen. William (Bill) attended grade school at St. Anthony Catholic grade school and High School at Dubuque Senior. He continued his education at the University of Platteville until he was drafted into the Army. Later he finished his business degree. William served 4 years - two being in Vietnam, where he received three purple hearts. National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. When he returned from the war he managed and owned several bar/restaurants. After some time he went to work at Better Properties GMAC Real Estate in Lakewood, WA as President of the Food & Beverage Division. He worked closely with his business partner and friend Ed Punchak.

Surviving is one sister Jacque (Huesgen) Willenbring, Brother-in-law Steve Willenbring ,of Dyersville, IA-4 nieces, Jill (Jason) Westhoff, Eldridge, IA - Julie Willenbring, Dyersville, IA- Kimberly (Curt) Oyen, Peosta, IA and Kelly Willenbring of Chicago, IL. 4 grandnieces - Sydney Conry, Brynn & Lauren Westhoff and Kendyl Oyen.

William was preceded in death by his parents - Dr. Hermen & Corrine Huesgen, a niece - Jennifer Rose Willenbring.
