Oh my! Since 1978? Geez I can't remember what's been going on since yesterday!Well....... let's see.. I was married to a wonderful man who passed away in 2000 at the age of 39. Life was tough for awhile but the kids and I made it. After being a hairstylist for 20+years I returned to school and have a degree in computer networking and programming. I have moved back to Dumas after being away for 25 years. Both of my children are here and 19 months ago my daughter blessed me with the birth of identical twin boys, Jackson and Jaydon, who are the absolute light of their GiGi's eyes and for those of you who don't know GiGi is for Grandma times 2. And the most incredible part that's happened to me since 1978 is that my friend Gary Gill brought our mutual friend Mike Myrick to see me almost 3 years ago and we have been seeing each other ever since and he is the most incredible person I know. Our 'meeting' again is a very sweet story and I'd be glad to tell you if you are interested, but Mike and I were both going through a very rough time in our lives and we both feel like God brought us back to each other. Between the two of us we have 5 children who are 25,24,23,22,and 21..... Whew! Glad they aren't ours together!!
Hey guys........ remember when the class of 1977 had senior skip day? Charlotte, Cindy and I all left after first period and went to the "fat doctor" or so we said....Anyway, the next day as we were sitting in Mrs.Lay's class I hear, "Charlotte Dancer, Paula Ashcraft, Cindy Adcock, come to the principals' office... Mr.Weser, God love him, called me in his office first and said Paula, were you at the levee with the others yesterday, I said......... Noooo Sir, we were at the fat doctors. He says ok. He calls Charlotte and Cindy in together and asks them and they confess!! He calls me back in and makes me feel about as low as a snake in the grass and said Paula, I knew you would tell me the truth and I can't believe you lied to me...... That's a lesson I'll never forget!
