Jack Miller

Oh Lord...what have i been up to? Well, three weeks after graduation I enlisted in Army and served as medic for the 82nd Airborne. Honorably Discharged in 1989 and came back to Lubbock. Took me a couple of years to figure what I wanted to be when I grew up (still haven't figured that out). Became a nurse and worked in flight and critical care for several years. I would eventually get my Master's degree and become an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. After 9/11, I came back to the service and accepted Navy Reserve commission, expecting to be deployed. After years of wanting to be deployed and it not happening...I resigned my navy commission and accepted an active army commission. Thus, I am currently stationed in Germany working at the US Army hospital in Landstuhl (where we receive the injured troops before they are evac'd home), however, I am currently deployed in Baghdad and working in the Ibn Sina Hospital until we turn in over to the Iraqi government.
