I left Duncan and moved to Tulsa for a year to attend college at ORU. It was a wonderful experience in my life. I did return home to work and attend college at Cameron. I finally graduated Cameron in 1996 with a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Music. I went to work within a month of graduating for Child Welfare. What a trying occupation however, it caused me to grow up and I lost all of my naivety. However, for 11 years I did my job to the best of my ability and have no regrets. It was during this time that I met my husband. I waited to marry because I believed that true love would come and that no matter what my age, God had the perfect person for me. Boy was I right. I met my husband in Church. I refused for several years to go out with him because he had children and I never wanted to deal with that. God had another idea for me though. When I finally gave in to Tim's requests for a date, It was not long after, that I knew God had answered my prayer and that he was the one that God had for me. I Married in 2003 and got a double whammy, a wonderful husband and his awesome daughter Kharma. She has lived with us since we married. She is a beautiful child that resembles me more than her own father (LOL). We don't use the word "step" in our vocabulary. She is my child. Anyway, my husband is somewhat of an entrepreneur. He decided after we married that he wanted to build houses during the housing boom. During this time he was also working at Halliburton. Anyway, he built one house and I had to put my foot down. Yikes! Glad when that was over. I had my first child at this time also. Her name is Anna Katherine. What another Blessing from the Lord! After Tim got over the need to build houses, he was approached to start up a Plating business. During this time, we put everything we had built up in our lifetimes into this business venture. This has been one experience after another. Good and bad. I will tell you that this business venture has been God inspired all the way! Now, let me bring you back to the fact that my husband is an entrepreneur.... During this time, Tim decided that he would grow 7-10 acres of Watermelons and Cantelopes. Oh WOW! What a job. I drove my first tractor during this time........ Needless to say, I have requested that he not embark upon this adventure again. That brings me to where I am today. The plating business. The plating business is growing day by day and we work at it together. I thank God daily for the opportunities that He has sent my way and I'm glad I have taken the opportunities that he has sent me. This is what I have been up to since 1989. Not a moments rest..... Life is good!
