My favourite teacher-perhaps largely because English was my favourite subject. Remember him getting the giggles when something mildly sexually ambiguos was read out from a Poem. Cannot remember the details but he could not stop laughing for the rest of the period!

Bertie Piper actually playerd quite a role in my life: he directed the centenary play "Friendly Relations" and my wife and I rented his house in Westville many years later if my memory serves me correctly. So sorry to hear that he passed away.
