We do have twin boy cats, now in their terrible twos, Napoleon and The More…General Lee. Napoleon from Bill and Ted (because he is a "ziggy-piggy") and The General Lee because his tabby swirls make a 01 on each side of his body like the Dukes of Hazzard car.
After graduation from CHS I volunteered with Americorps for 10 months, completing 1700 hours of community service in Seattle/King County.
I got my Bachelor's from UW in 2003 and during my summers I worked at a resident camp. I had so much fun working with the kids and with the camp staff from all over the world. I was lucky enough after college (and camp) to do some traveling visiting my new international friends & I made it to Australia and France.
In 2006 I got married to my (long distance) "high school sweetheart" Michael (who went to Bothell HS). We met on vacation the summer before CHS junior year, and this August will be our 12 yr/2 yr anniversary. Right now we live and work in Bothell; me at Cascadia and him in accounting for a national publication.
School Story:
Hmmm, favorite HS memories...? As far as I know I was the only person to complete a senior prank. I stole Mr. Kellogg's inflatable penguin and strung it up the flag pole.
I loved the last day bbq every year eating and visiting and signing yearbooks.
I loved my friends who let me be me. We expected support and honesty from each other, and we were involved in every aspect of the school from sports to arts to academics.
I hope that all our classmates are happy and doing well. I hope that those who were limited to what was in our small valley have now seen that the world has beautiful people of all colors and beliefs.
