Marion Jane Kays
    Marion Jane Kays, 82, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with CTCL at the Saint Luke’s Hospice House, in Bethlehem, PA, on Friday, May 14, 2021, while surrounded by her family.
Born on June 9, 1938, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Marion (Alfred) Metzger. Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, David Eugene Kays, who passed in 2019.
Marion was a graduate of Easton Area High School’s class of 1956 and worked for both Pfizer and Laneco.       She was a fan of both the New York Mets and the Green Bay Packers and loved cheering on Notre Dame University’s Fighting Irish. She greatly enjoyed time spent at the beach, traveling often to Wildwood, NJ, and Ocean City, MD and she had a profound love of animals, especially her dogs and cats. What she loved most in life though was her family and she was happiest while in the presence of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her children; Marie Rickey and her husband Lee, of Bangor, PA, Charlene Breiner and her husband Dan, of Easton, PA, and David Kays, also of Easton, PA, her grandchildren; Josh, Lauren, Daniel, Vanessa and Brianna, her great-grandchildren; Elyse, Cassidy and Noah( who will be arriving in August) and her many nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and her parents, Marion was predeceased by her brother, Calvin Metzger, Jr.
    Calling Hours are scheduled for Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 6 to 8 PM, at the Finegan Funeral Home, 4080 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA. There is a Mass of Christian Burial set for 10:30 AM the following day, Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, 4049 Hartley Ave, Easton, PA, with the interment to immediately follow at the Northampton Memorial Shrine, Easton, PA.
