Eleanore "Ellie" Dodwell, 87, of Plainfield Township, PA, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, in New Eastwood.

Born March 24, 1938, in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Mary Jane (Owens) Pope.

Her husband of 47 years, Walter E. Dodwell, passed away January 29, 2012.

Ellie graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1956.

She retired in 1988 as a switchboard operator from the former The Express newspaper where she was employed for 20 years.

Ellie enjoyed shopping on QVC and at Boscov's. She loved her dog, Mugsy.

Private graveside services will be held in Northampton Memorial Shrine. The Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough, is in charge of arrangements. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
