Elizabeth "Sue" S. Pickel, 86, of Plainfield Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Asbury Chandler Estate, Pen Argyl. She was the loving wife of the late Richard Pickel for 62 years until his passing on May 12, 2021. Sue was born on July 4, 1938, in Easton, PA, to the late Mark and Marjorie (Farley) Shuttleworth. She graduated from Easton High School in 1956. Sue loved horses and trained at local kennel clubs for various obedience and hunt competitions. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda S. Woerner and husband Glenn, of Pen Argyl, Kimberly A. Ellington and husband Joe, of VA; son, Douglas R. Pickel and wife Megan, of NC; grandchildren, Jennifer and husband James, Caryn, Jason and wife Nicole, Gregory and wife Emma, and Andrew; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Cuskey, Debbie Goth and husband Louis; also, by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Shuttleworth. Family and friends of Sue are invited to a Graveside Service on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1:00pm at Fairview Cemetery, 1138 Middletown Rd, Pen Argyl Pa 18072. There are no calling hours. The Joseph F. Reichel Funeral Home Inc., of Nazareth is honored to have Sue and her family in our care.
