William Emanuel

William “Willy” J. Emanuel, 84, of Easton, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. 

Born in Easton on January 8, 1938, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rosalie (LaPiana) Emanuel. He graduated from Easton High School in 1956. William served in the United States Army until 1963. He worked as a fork lift operator for Dixie and later for Fort James Corporation in Forks Twp for 43 years. He retired in 2000. 

William was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Easton. He was a former member of the UPIU local 412, Order of Fleas, Inc., and Moose Lodge #45, Easton. His greatest pleasure was camping. William went camping his entire life up until recently when his health started to fail him. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie J. (O’Conner) Emanuel; daughter, Linda M. Griffith and husband Doug, Rockledge, FL; 2 grandchildren, Jesse and Zachary Griffith. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Joseph D. Emanuel in 1975. 

\ Calling hours will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA 18045 (Palmer Twp.) A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 9th and Lehigh Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
