Larry  T. Phillips

Larry Theodore Phillips, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

Larry was born on March 11, 1938, to the late Theodore and Mary (Glanz) Phillips. 

He attended Dean Junior College in Franklin, Massachusetts, where he was a star basketball player. Larry worked in sales for the majority of his career, which is what brought him and his family to Florida.  He relocated to Palm Coast, Florida in 1983 from Newark, Ohio.   

During his time in Newark, Larry enjoyed such activities as his bowling league and softball.  Larry’s knowledge of sports was extensive and could give most a run for their money.  Larry enjoyed watching all sports, but particular golf.  Larry was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge Palm Coast.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Laura J. Phillips; sons, Larry T. Phillips (Linda) of Toledo, Ohio, Greg M. Phillips (Renee) of Orlando, Florida;  and daughter, Kerry Ann Gauthier (Leon) of Holly Hill, Florida; grandchildren, Jake Ratto, Paige Ratto, Brandy Barnes, Matthew Phillips, Amy Levine, Brooke Phillips, Dylan Phillips;  and four beautiful great grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his sister, Kerri A. Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Larry’s name to Christ Lutheran Church, 2323 N. State St. Unit 112, Bunnell, Florida 32110 or the Elks Lodge Palm Coast, 53 Old Kings Road North, Palm Coast, Florida 32137.

A memorial service for Larry will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2323 N. State Road Unit 112, Bunnell, Florida 32110.

The family of Mr. Phillips has entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.

Joyce Coleman (Sabatine)

Met Larry at March School MANY years agp.

He and his wife Laura  and I have remained friends all these years.

Larry would always call me, especially during football

season, and we would discuss the Sunday games.

RIP friend. You will be missed.

Larry was my first boyfriend.  How can i forget that?  Im so sorry for the family and friends he has left behind.  It's not easy, i know.  Joyce streeter
