I am very sorry to learn of David's passing, just today.  My condolenses to Kathy and the children and grandchildren.  I first got to know David in junior high. Probably not in grade school, because he went to Boyd and I went to Bartlett.  I pretty sure he was in band and I think we would have known each other in junior high football.  I also got to know Kathy in junior high, as everybody went to Central then, we were in the same English class.  The friendship continued in high school. We were drinking buddies afterwords when I would get back to Eau Claire, and we would go hither and thither out to the surrounding places  I think we were part of the group that explored places along the remote parts of the Eau Claire River east of town. I was suppose to protect his get away car after his wedding, but somehow someone found out it was "hidden" in my parent's garage, and the culprits played some pranks. So he would remind me about that most everytime I saw him. He was a really good person and always friendly. I will miss him.  I will especially miss him when not seeing him at the upcoiming reunion, where I would have seen and talked to him at most every past reunion..

I am coming to the 50th reunion, Friday September 16th and Saturday September 17th. Looking forward to seeing everybody.
