My goodness but it is easy to think of reasons to procrastinate writing this bio!! After HS, I spent 2 years going to UWEC and then graduated in 1970 from UW Madison with a bachelors in social work. John and I married that summer and he then completed his civil engineering degree. We lived some 8 years in Spooner, Wisconsin where I worked as a Home Training Specialists for handicapped children and John was with the DNR. It was there that we had our 2 children, Ian and Lea.
We then moved to Eau Claire and I was a stay at home Mom for quite a few years before taking a lovely job as a pre-school teacher out of John’s church. Both John and I retired in 2004 and have been enjoying the time of relaxing mornings and do-at-your-pace schedules.
We now have 2 grandchildren. Mari lives in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin with her mothers Lea and Paula. Sean lives near Brisbane, Australia with Ian and Suzanne.
Our travels have taken us mainly where the children are: east coast, Romania, Alaska, and Australia. John has said that some places they leave before we are done with them – mainly, Alaska!
