Davin Wirrenga

I went to NDSCS for machine tooling in the fall of '88. After tech school, I worked in two Jamestown machine shops before getting married and moving to LaCrosse, WI. After about a year in LaCrosse we moved to the Detroit Lakes, MN area(Lake Park) for about 10 years.

Our children were born in Sep. of '01 and 3 weeks after their birth I was in a terrible train/pedestrian accident. I barely escaped alive but the Lord was gracious and granted me time with my children. I was hospitalized for 3 months and recovered at home for an additional 3 months. Once able to walk again, I returned back to work.

Finally in the fall of 2005 with my parents retiring from the farm, we bought it and moved back here.

Probably the one that sticks out most vividly would be "whipping a cookie" with Tommy Kiecker's car behind Mr. Filbert's shop class. I'm looking back thinking it was more stupid than anything, but at the time "funny" would have been a descriptive word. That is, until Mr. Filbert got a hold of me! Whew! Poor Mr. Filbert!
